Currently playing through the game and I've been looking for fun ways to playthrough the game. So far it seems like you can beat much stronger enemies with Magic fairly simply. I have yet to try out if you cna skip going to sleep. If you can, it might be pretty easy to avoid leveling.

So here's a few ideas I have for challenges.
Low Level Challenge
The player will have to take a lot of steps for this but it's doable.
-The player cannot take on side quests -The player cannot take on any Hunts -The player cannot rest at any camps. There are mandatory points in the story where you will camp, but this is usually at the end of a chapter and thus you'll take on each chapter at the lowest possible level.
Not resting at camps means that the party is going to be very vulnerable over night. Time is best spent wasted in a town until dawn.
No Ascension This is basically like doing a no sphere grid run of FFX. No ascension basically limits you to the entry level functions of battle. You lose out quite a bit on advanced battle tactics this way.
No Eating Eating at camp or at a restaurant provide the player with stat boosts. In order to do this, you'd have to avoid camping, but unlike in the Low Level Challenge, you can earn as much EXP as you want and just do all of your leveling at the end of chapters.
No Magic Magic is super powerful and will likely be very needed in the low level challenges. With it you can defeat higher level enemies no problem.
No Summons Pretty straight forward, the player would avoid using any summons or even bothering to get them.
